Information

ACCESS:

  • You can find directions in French and German
  • Warning! If you're coming to La Grange le Pour via the Col du Bonhomme, your GPS may be unreliable and could direct you onto an impassable forest path through the Faing du Souche. Regardless of where you're coming from, you must first drive into the village of Plainfaing.
  • The road is mostly paved but becomes a dirt track in the final stretch. It is not suitable for low-clearance vehicles.
  • Between November 1st and March 31st, it is mandatory in the Vosges region to have your vehicle equipped with winter tires or to carry snow chains or textile snow socks.

Rules

After years of renting and repeated disrespectful behavior, we have finally created a set of house rules, which are also displayed on-site. These are simply rules based on common sense.

RESPECT FOR THE PREMISES

  • Treat this apartment with the same respect you would give your own home.
  • To maintain the peaceful atmosphere, please avoid noise and disturbances, especially between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Keep the apartment clean and tidy during your stay.
  • Please inform us immediately of any damages, even if accidental.
  • Smoking inside is strictly prohibited by regulation.
  • The tap water is pure spring water, sourced directly from the mountains. It is precious and rare. Please conserve water, especially in summer or during droughts, e.g., while showering.
  • Avoid slamming doors, especially the glass door leading outside.

SANITARY AREA

  • Only toilet paper may be thrown into the toilet bowl. Wet wipes, diapers, tampons, sanitary pads, cotton swabs, or similar items must be disposed of in the provided bins, which are equipped with liners, and must never be flushed. If improper use causes a blockage in the wastewater system pumps, the tenant will be held responsible.

CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES

  • The holiday apartment must be vacated by 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
  • Please leave the apartment in an orderly condition: sweep the floors, empty the refrigerator, wash and put away the dishes, clean the appliances, empty the trash bins, and place all used bed linen and towels in a pile. Don’t forget to empty the outdoor ashtrays before leaving. Final cleaning is included, but this is not an invitation to leave the apartment in a dirty condition.

SHARED AREAS

  • Outdoor play equipment may only be used by children under the responsibility of parents or guardians.
  • Access to the barn and other farm buildings is only permitted in the presence of the host.
  • Tenants are expected to treat shared outdoor areas with respect.

ANIMALS

  • Pets are allowed in the apartments but must not come into contact with beds or bedding.
  • They also must not be left alone in the apartment, even in a cage.
  • In outdoor areas, pet waste must be cleaned up by the owner.
  • If you would like to get to know the farm animals better, please talk to us in advance so we can explain what is and isn’t allowed. Feeding the animals without prior permission is strictly forbidden.

WIFI ACCESS

  • Free Wi-Fi internet access is available inside the house. Please note that coverage may not be complete in all rooms.
  • We are not liable for incompatibilities or malfunctions caused by tenants' devices, nor for service disruptions or interruptions.
  • The tenant agrees not to use the internet for immoral or illegal purposes.
  • The tenant is solely responsible for any direct or indirect damage to third parties caused by their use.

EXTREME CASES

  • In cases of repeated violations of these house rules, and after repeated warnings by the host, the host may expel the tenants from the house. In such cases, tenants are not entitled to a refund of the rental costs.
