A unique setting in the heart of the Vosges

La Grange le Pour is a farm located on the heights of Plainfaing, at an altitude of 850 m. It stands out for its exceptional position, isolated in nature, with a breathtaking view of the valley.

The apartments are located at the back of the building, with separate entrances.

On the ground floor, the first appartment can accommodate up to six people. 

On the first and top floor is the second apartment. It is spacious and bright and can accommodate up to six people as well.

Above all, the Grange le Pour is a place for lovers of nature and the great outdoors. Children have a huge playground and can enjoy the presence of farm animals. The hikes begin at the front door of the house, in winter as in summer.

Located at a geographical crossroads, it can also be the starting point for discovering cities such as Nancy (1h), Colmar (50 min), Basel (1h30), Metz (2h), Freiburg (1h30), etc. For wine lovers: the Alsace Wine Route is just across the Col du Bonhomme.

  • Is the accommodation easily accessible?

    The property is located on a farm at the end of a 2.5 km mountain road from the main road. The path winds through the forest, and the last few meters are not paved; therefore, vehicles with low ground clearance are not recommended.


    In winter, snow equipment is required in accordance with local regulations in the Vosges.


    The accommodation is unfortunately not suitable for people with reduced mobility.


    Without a car, you can travel by train to Saint-Dié-des-Vosges or Colmar, and then continue your journey with a rental car.

  • Are bed linen and bedding included?

    Yes, everything is provided: bed linen and bedding are supplied so you can travel light.

  • How far is the nearest bike park?

    The Lac Blanc Bike Park is approximately 20 km from La Grange Le Pour (around 25 minutes by car) and about 6 km on foot or by bike. The direct path is not accessible by car, contrary to what Google Maps may indicate.


    The La Bresse Hohneck Bike Park is approximately 25 km away (around 35 minutes by car).

  • Can more than 6 people stay in the accommodation?

    Yes, it is possible to stay with more than 6 people by booking both apartments at the same time. In this case, a 15% discount is applied to the second accommodation.

  • What are the check-in and check-out times?

    Check-in is available from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and check-out must be completed by 10:00 AM to allow time for cleaning between stays.


    In some cases, if the accommodation is not immediately rebooked and depending on the cleaning schedule, a late check-out may be possible upon request and with approval from the host.

  • Are pets allowed?

    Dogs and cats are welcome, up to two pets per stay, provided a few rules are respected for everyone’s comfort: they must remain in tiled areas, are not allowed on beds, and must not be left alone in the accommodation. Any waste outside must also be picked up.


    Please note: Leika, our very friendly dog, lives on site and gets along well with other animals. Two cats also roam around the house.

  • Are parties allowed in the accommodation?

    No, in order to preserve the peace and quiet of the property, parties and events are not permitted.

  • How far are the nearest shops?

    You will find a bakery in the centre of Plainfaing (about 10 minutes by car), as well as a wood-fired bakery in Le Valtin (about 15 minutes), open from Thursday to Sunday.


    The nearest supermarket (Carrefour) is located in Fraize, about 7.5 km away (around 10–15 minutes by car).
